Gosport & Fareham Friends of the Earth is an active and friendly group of volunteers working to improve the environment.
We campaign in many different areas, pushing for change locally, nationally and internationally. We talk to people to get their support on petitions, we lobby our MPs and MEPs, and we get our messages into the local media.
We also get out into the community to spread the word, holding stalls at local fairs and other events. And our annual college debating competition encourages local students to think about environmental issues.
If you’d like to find out more, a good place to start is our monthly First Tuesday programme.
On the First Tuesday of every month (except January and August), we show a film or host a presentation on an environmental topic. It’s open to everyone, and it’s a great way to get to know us and meet other like-minded people. Come and join us at 7:30pm on the First Tuesday of the month, at the Methodist Church on Stoke Road, Gosport, PO12 1JB. Entry is free, although we welcome small donations to help us with the costs of the evening.
If you want to get stuck in helping us to achieve change, come along to our planning meetings. They’re at 10am on the first Saturday of every month in the cafe at the Ferneham Hall in Fareham, PO16 7DB.
